Cutting edge approach for contemporary dance event

30 June 2016

In May we were delighted to be invited to work with the Rambert Dance Company by a loyal client. The event required the transformation of the famous Rambert dance studios on the South Bank, into a stylish and edgy event space.

We met the client’s brief for a “relaxed and contemporary vibe” by using designer soft-furnishings, purple up-lighting and purple orchids. We sourced mirror-topped poseur tables to complement the contemporary interiors and to reflect the atmospheric lighting. Our handpicked waiting staff wore all black Nehru-style outfits.

The guest list was both fashionable and arty so we designed an on-trend menu using bold and innovative ingredients. On arrival guests enjoyed champagne and our popular summer mocktail “Pear Mist” with a selection of contemporary canapés on textured platters of slate, metal, glass and bamboo.  After the show we served satisfying bowl foods including white asparagus risotto with truffle oil, and spring lamb with olive crumb and pea shoots.

For dessert, guests were able to help themselves from our signature, sculptural macaron tree enjoying flavours such as Pimms and cucumber, crème brulee and strawberries and cream.
