World Premiere of Sir David Attenborough's Great Barrier Reef

11 February 2016

A 200-strong VIP guest list including the Duke of Edinburgh, Prince Philip, comedian Barry Humphries and actor Helena Bonham Carter enjoyed fresh Australian fare served by Jackson Gilmour at the launch of the Great Barrier Reef Documentary series at Australia House in December.

After walking the “sand carpet” guests were greeted with welcome drinks including exclusive Larry Cherubino wine from Western Australia and Coopers Pale Ale, which is produced by an Australia’s only family brewery. Specially designed canapés were created to showcase some of the continent’s most beautiful ingredients with crispy barbecued prawns served on edible “sand” alongside moist lobster brioche and fresh cannelloni filled with cream cheese and select Australian black truffles.

Operations Director Francis O’Hagan commented: “We have a strong connection with the Australian High Commission and regularly cater for the Australia Day Gala at Australia House. It was exciting to be here to support a very different kind of event and to showcase some of Australia’s best ingredients.”
