Jackson Gilmour were delighted to cater for the many journalist stars and editors who were out in force at this year’s London Press Club Ball. Dermot Murnaghan hosted the glittering event which took place at the stunning Victoria & Albert Museum, raising an estimated £30,000 for the Journalists’ Charity.
Guests included TV star and columnist, Piers Morgan, many national newspaper and broadcast journalists and numerous presenters including John Stapleton and Lynn Faulds-Wood. Everyone enjoyed champagne and pomegranate cocktails in the Dome before sitting down to dinner in the stunning Raphael Gallery. We served our popular autumn menu of crab tian with brik pastry, fillet of lamb with roasted fennel and iced blackberry parfait with sloe gin sorbet.
Entertainment was supplied by the wonderful mezzo-soprano Laura Wright, the brilliant violin duo Elektra and celebrity DJ Pat Sharp who rounded off the evening with dancing in the Dome.
The V&A had a number of different-sized galleries for hire, including the entrance “Dome” and a private courtyard garden.
